fuel cannisters in a shopping cart against the background of the kenyan flag

Fight Inequality Alliance (FIA) Kenya is demanding immediate action to protect ordinary Kenyans from the spiralling cost-of-living crisis that is deepening by the day. Since the US-Israel war on Iran escalated in February 2026, Kenyans have been bearing the brunt of its effects. Fuel prices have hit record highs, transport fares have risen, and food prices are beyond reach for many.

The Fight Inequality Alliance (FIA) Kenya raises urgent concern over the recent fuel price increase announced by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA), which has triggered nationwide disruption in public transport and sharp increases in the cost of daily mobility. Public transport fares have risen by up to 50%, making routine travel unaffordable for many citizens.

No Bombs For Barrels

In addition to thousands of civilians killed by US and Israeli bombs, millions globally are being pushed into hunger and debt because of the iron grip of oil and gas on our economies. End the war, tax the huge windfall profits that oil and gas companies are making from the conflict, and dump fossil fuels for good in favour of secure and affordable renewable energy.

Various Minerals

Africa is rich in natural resources. Yet for centuries those resources have been extracted by foreign companies that pay little tax and leave nothing behind. For centuries, Western nations have exploited them by extracting the raw materials without paying fair taxes, and often facilitated by corruption.

Together we can create the most powerful global movement of people against the power of the top 1% and drive the change for an economic model that is built from equality, dignity, justice and sustainability for all people and planet.
